Ethical Futures has been in the vanguard of ethical investment for over 20 years. We specialise in ethical investment advice and financial planning. By combining a holistic approach to how you manage your money with how that you feel about the use of that money – we help to Make Your Money Change Your World.

We have always recognised that ‘ethical investment’ is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Therefore, we take time to understand your values and consider how you feel about investment of money. Having done so, we can select an investment strategy that best reflects your values but also fits with your financial planning goals. We try to cut thought the complex jargon of the ethical and sustainable world and explain how your money cam achieve your aims.

Just like our clients – Ethical Futures llp has been on its on life journey. Having grown organically over 20 years, we are now at a point where decisions have had to be made about our own future. We are delighted to announce a new chapter in the life of Ethical Futures – from 1st February 2026 we shall be joining Origen FS to form a dedicated ethical advice division call Origen Ethical Futures. This exciting development will not only strengthen our resource for service to existing clients but help to deliver ethical finaicla planning advice to a much wider audience.

Ethical Futures – the back story

Ethical Futures was founded in September 2005 by Julian Parrott and Martin Wight. They kept noticing the same problem – what their clients believed in didn’t always match up with how their money was being invested. And so, Ethical Futures was born. 

From the very beginning, our guiding mission has been to help people ‘make your money change your world’. That means more than just numbers on a page. It’s about helping our clients build personal financial plans that reflect their goals whilst ensuring their investments support a better world. From clean energy and social housing to education and health, we’ve always believed your money can do good for the world whilst performing well for you.

Ethical finance can sometimes feel like a mystery, full of jargon and hidden complexity. One of our core goals has always been to demystify it. That’s why we publish white papers, write weekly blog posts and speak at conferences and on podcasts. Through these mediums we can make financial knowledge accessible. 

Although we’ve had our ups and downs over the last two decades, through it all one thing has never changed. We’ve always had our clients’ trust and support. Some have been with us from the very start, growing with us through every challenge and success. We’re proud that our commitment to ethics isn’t a slogan, it’s integral to the way our business runs.

Recently, one of our co-founders, Martin Wight, retired due to serious ill health and this has prompted us to look at our own future. We want to make sure that we are able to preserve the heart of what makes Ethical Futures special whilst ensuring that our team and clients continue to thrive for decades to come.

Ethical Futures – the next chapter

After careful consideration, we are delighted to announce that from the 30th January 2026, Ethical Futures will become part of Origen Financial Service.

This is not an ending, it’s the beginning of the next chapter of our story. We’re looking forward to a future where will be supported by a like-minded partner who shares our belief that financial planning should reflect personal values and social impact.

As we look to the next 20 years, we remain as committed as ever to ethical investing and transparent advice. The world is changing fast – but the desire to align money with meaning has never been stronger.

We’re proud of what we have achieved so far. Yet in many ways, it feels like we’re just getting started. With Origen’s support, we’ll have the strength and scale to continue what we do best – making your money change your world.
